Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. -Ephesians 4:2
As Christians, we are called to love everyone. Love is patient and kind. Therefore, we should try to always be patient and kind. Sometimes that’s a lot more difficult than it sounds!
For today and the rest of this week, let’s all try to make a conscious effort to be patient and kind to everyone we encounter. Yes, that includes the person who cuts in front of you to steal your parking spot, the person who bumps into you and doesn’t even say, “Excuse me,” the person in front of you in line at the grocery store with two carts of groceries and 100 coupons, the lady at the drive thru that can’t seem to get your order right, and even the person who just generally doesn’t seem to like you.
Smile at everyone, even when you don’t feel like it. And not a cheesy, fake, I’m doing this because I’m supposed to smile. I’m talking about a real, genuine, I am blessed and want to be a blessing kind of smile. You might be surprised at how much a smile can brighten someone else’s day and yours too, all at the same time.
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health. – Proverbs 15:30
If you are a Christian, you are an ambassador of Christ, an official representative. This isn’t a job to be taken lightly. Are you representing Him the way that you should? With all your daily interactions? Let the way that you live your daily life and how you interact with others be your testimony!
