Prepare for Battle

Outreach Church exists because a group of people sensed the call of God to share the love of Christ with the lost and hurting.

You can rest assured that when God calls and people answer, the devil gets nervous. And when the devil gets nervous, he starts causing trouble.

For this reason, anyone working for God should be vigilant and expectant, bracing themselves for the inevitable attack that is on the way. If you have been helping to plant or grow Outreach Church, you have probably already started to experience these attacks.

Take it as a compliment, knowing that Satan is concerned about the work you are doing for God. We’ve got the devil shaking in his boots! And he should be, because our God is mighty!

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13

God is greater than anything the enemy can throw our way! Gird yourself daily with the full armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:10-19 and there isn’t anything the devil can do to stand in the way of God’s plan and purpose for your life.

Be in prayer for each other and for Outreach Church.

“When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.” -Ephesians 3:14-21
